Henry Ford Providence Hospitals is hiring a Clinic Service Representative to join our team in Sterling Heights, Michigan. In this onsite role, you will be responsible for patient registration activities and will actively contribute to service excellence standards for all customer groups.
What You'll Do
- Follow standard operating procedures for all patient registration activities.
- Perform patient reception, face-to-face check in and check out.
- Handle preregistration, insurance verification, and cash collections.
- Perform chart reconciliation and patient discharge.
- Actively contribute to organizational service excellence standards.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform calculations, complete forms, and extensively utilize computer information systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work with detailed information.
- Interpersonal skills to deal effectively both over the telephone and in person with patients, visitors, medical staff, and other personnel.
- Ability to perform a variety of tasks in a timely manner to meet clinic staff and patient needs.
- Ability to discuss patients' general financial responsibilities and connect them with the Customer Service Center.
- Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
- Ability to work within a team setting and be supportive of team members.
- Successful completion of yearly competencies.
- Basic computer skills (i.e., opening software/email, keyboard navigation, logging in and out).
- Ability to work effectively with populations of diverse backgrounds and ages.
- Dependable and punctual.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
