The Indiana Department of Correction / Madison State Hospital is hiring a Clerical Assistant to support our Credential Management Team. In this role, you will be instrumental in securing and validating driver's licenses, learner's permits, and ID cards, while also performing essential clerical functions to support team leadership.
What You'll Do
- Support daily operations by performing general office tasks.
- Communicate with customers, employees, and others to answer questions and explain information.
- Review files, records, and documents to obtain information for requests.
- Type forms, correspondence, memos, and other materials.
- Maintain organized filing systems for efficient recordkeeping and retrieval.
- Check emails, send faxes, make copies, and update computer databases.
- Answer telephones, provide information, take messages, or transfer calls.
- Train other staff members on work activities, such as using computer applications.
- Complete tasks or projects assigned by a supervisor in a timely manner.
