The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis is hiring a Cleaner for 2nd Shift. You will perform a variety of custodial duties, maintaining facilities by cleaning floors, surfaces, furniture, and restrooms, and collecting trash, following established standards and procedures.
What You'll Do
- Sweep, mop, and wash floors and other interior surfaces.
- Operate light and heavy commercial floor buffers and shampoo machines.
- Vacuum and spot clean rugs daily and perform shampooing as directed.
- Clean and dust furniture, fixtures, door trim, and all other horizontal surfaces, including periodic high dusting.
- Wash interior windowsills, glass in doors and partitions, and specified windows.
- Clean entrance door glass and trim, and spot clean interior walls as needed.
- Clean bathrooms and restock paper supplies daily.
- Monitor for defects like clogged fixtures or lights out and report to supervisors.
- Collect building trash daily, place it in approved containers, and move to designated collection areas.
- Replace liners in waste baskets and trash containers per specifications.
- Sweep or shovel snow from steps, walkways, and sidewalks as directed.
- Perform periodic work including high dusting, polishing of leather and wood surfaces, and wall washing.
- Perform all other assigned duties.
What We're Looking For
- Basic cleaning responsibilities require no previous experience.
- Ability to take direction, work with minimal supervision, and function cooperatively as part of a team.
- Capability to use standard cleaning tools and equipment.
- Able to use a portable, back-pack style vacuum cleaner.
- Requires attention to detail, pride in delivering excellent service, organization, and high levels of energy and endurance.
Team & Environment
You will work under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor.

This is an onsite position.
