As a Class A Driver, you'll play a key role in advancing the next generation of freight transportation by supporting autonomous truck operations in Lancaster. Working from a remote assistance station, you'll take control of self-driving trucks during low-speed, high-complexity scenarios—such as navigating tight yards or final delivery zones—using intuitive physical controls like a steering wheel and brake pedal.
What You’ll Do
- Remotely operate autonomous trucks when human input is required, ensuring smooth and safe movement in challenging environments
- Support real-time decision-making for the onboard driver system, enhancing performance through practical experience
- Work across varied conditions to help refine and improve autonomous technology
- Adapt to changing operational needs and evolving responsibilities as systems develop
What We’re Looking For
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record and at least three years of recent, verifiable experience
- Current DOT physical, ability to pass a drug test, background check, and road evaluation
- Proficiency with computer systems and comfort using digital interfaces
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong commitment to safety and operational excellence
- Flexibility to work nights and variable shifts as needed
- Openness to learning and contributing to new technologies
