EMC is looking for a Claims Support Assistant II to provide essential support for our Workers' Compensation claims operations. This role focuses on processing payments, managing incident-only claims, and ensuring accurate file documentation, all while working collaboratively to make an impact.
What You'll Do
- Assist the Workers' Compensation department with handling various claim tasks.
- Issue medical records payments once approved by the adjuster.
- Process split funded payments and ensure claims are handled per EMC guidelines.
- Review reopened claims to determine the appropriate claim handler.
- Manage incident-only claims, confirm status, and ensure timely communication to insureds.
- Maintain accurate diaries on incident-only claims and move them to closure if inactive.
- Set designated reserves on split claims up to the assigned threshold.
- Provide accurate file documentation on all claims and tasks.
- Assist team members, including training less experienced staff on specific workflows.
- Attend team meetings and training to stay informed of changes impacting the department.
- Assist with special projects as required.
What We're Looking For
- A high school degree or equivalent.
- Two years of experience in workers' compensation claims support or a related field.

Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation range: $36,290 - $45,362 or $36,290 - $49,889.

This position is eligible to work from home anywhere in the United States.
