Sedgwick is hiring a Claims Examiner - Liability to analyze and adjudicate complex workers compensation liability claims on behalf of our clients. In this role, you will ensure claims processing aligns with service expectations, industry best practices, and specific client requirements.
What You'll Do
- Analyze and process claims through well-developed action plans to achieve an appropriate and timely resolution.
- Investigate and gather information to determine the exposure on the claim.
- Negotiate settlement of claims within designated authority.
- Communicate claim activity and processing with the claimant and the client.
- Report claims to the excess carrier and respond to requests for directions in a professional and timely manner.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Five (5) years of claims management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be licensed (jurisdiction not specified).
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Professional certification as applicable to line of business.
- Licensing/Jurisdiction Knowledge: NY or HI (NY/HI a plus).
- Preferred eastern/central time zone.
