Responsibilities
- Assist in roadway and transportation projects from initial design to project delivery
- Gather and analyze data, and perform engineering calculations, modeling, and design
- Create roadway plans, design details, quantities, and supporting documentation
- Coordinate design elements with project teams and help with drafting and plan development
- Organize calculations and project documentation according to project standards
- Take part in field and site visits to gain direct project experience
- Apply relevant codes, standards, and design criteria to project work
- Work with experienced engineers and project managers while developing technical skills
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- EIT certification or interest in pursuing professional licensure
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work well in a team and contribute to challenging projects
- Willingness to support both office and field activities, including occasional travel to project sites
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines
