Responsibilities

  • Design and manage water infrastructure projects, including water treatment and distribution systems.
  • Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates for water projects.
  • Coordinate with project teams, clients, and regulatory agencies to ensure project compliance and success.
  • Conduct site inspections and field investigations to assess project conditions and progress.
  • Develop and implement water management strategies to optimize resource use and sustainability.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, and other project documentation.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Ensure project adherence to safety standards, environmental regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate water systems with other infrastructure components.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and environmental impact assessments for water projects.
  • Develop and implement water quality monitoring and testing programs.
  • Prepare and submit permit applications and other regulatory documentation.
  • Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to support water project design and planning.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation and records to ensure compliance and traceability.
  • Conduct research and stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in water engineering.
  • Participate in project meetings, presentations, and stakeholder engagements to communicate project progress and outcomes.
  • Develop and implement water conservation and efficiency programs to reduce water usage and costs.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential project challenges and issues.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation and records to ensure compliance and traceability.
  • Conduct research and stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in water engineering.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe.
  • Proven experience in water infrastructure design, construction, and management.
  • Strong knowledge of water treatment processes, distribution systems, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in engineering software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Hydraulic Modeling Software.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, managing multiple projects and priorities.
