AECOM is hiring a Civil Design Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of greenfield and add/move/change projects for colocation and hyper-scale data centers. This is a hands-on, client-facing role where you will guide projects from due diligence and campus planning through detailed design, construction documents, and construction administration.
What You'll Do
- Lead data center due diligence, planning, and design teams to deliver high-quality projects that meet client requirements and schedules.
- Develop and enforce multi-site project and program management plans.
- Host and attend meetings with clients and external stakeholders.
- Proactively manage and communicate project changes both internally at AECOM and to clients.
- Identify and mitigate project risks early with creative solutions.
- Communicate proactively with all stakeholders to provide updates and resolve issues.
- Develop technical and financial proposals for new and add/move/change data center design projects.
- Build trusting relationships with clients and consultant stakeholders.
- Coach junior staff and support their professional growth.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and strategic thinking.
What We're Looking For
- Experience managing the design of industrial and data center civil and utility infrastructure.
- A background in civil engineering.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
