Shape the future of utility technology by leading end-to-end solution architecture for a large-scale CIS modernization initiative. You'll design and govern integrated systems across SAP S/4 HANA Utilities, Salesforce Energy & Utilities Cloud, and AWS, ensuring alignment with clean-core SAP principles and long-term enterprise strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain solution architecture across hybrid cloud and on-prem environments, integrating SAP, Salesforce, and AWS platforms
- Enforce SAP Clean Core by minimizing custom code and upholding architectural governance standards
- Lead design workshops, blueprinting sessions, and architecture reviews across technical and business stakeholders
- Establish architectural patterns, capabilities, and standards that support scalability, security, and performance
- Validate development deliverables against approved designs and industry best practices
- Ensure resilience and operational excellence across all modernization components
- Present technical proposals, maintain documentation, and contribute to enterprise architecture boards
- Collaborate with engineering, functional, and business teams to deliver a unified, interoperable ecosystem
Qualifications
You bring deep experience in enterprise architecture with a focus on complex, integrated landscapes. A background in utility systems is a strong advantage.
- 10+ years in enterprise or solution architecture roles
- 2+ years with SAP S/4 HANA Utilities (IS-U)
- 2+ years using SAP BTP and Integration Suite
- 4+ years designing AWS or hybrid cloud architectures
- Proven ability to lead in multi-system environments with strong governance practices
- Experience with integration patterns, data architecture, and scalable design
- Skill in communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience
Preferred Skills
- SAP Certified Solution Architect or related SAP certification
- Utility industry experience
- Hands-on work with DevOps, CI/CD, TOGAF, or LeanIX
- Familiarity with IBM ACE, SAP Data platforms (BDC), or multi-cloud design
- Professional certifications in SAP, AWS, or enterprise architecture
Work Environment
This role operates in a hybrid model, requiring presence onsite Tuesday through Thursday in Minneapolis or Denver, with remote flexibility the rest of the week. You'll be part of a multi-year program with strong potential for long-term impact and full-time conversion.
Compensation & Benefits
