Katapult Labs is hiring a Chief of Staff to act as a product-forward builder and a direct extension of the CEO. This role operates at the intersection of building, advising, and investing, owning 3-4 client engagements end-to-end—from initial SWAT phases through long-term execution with custom teams.
What You'll Do
- Own 3–4 client engagements simultaneously, serving as the strategic partner each founder works with directly.
- Lead SWAT phases: embed with founders, map product and business landscape, and define the fastest path to shipped value.
- Assemble and lead custom teams of engineers, designers, PMs, and project managers tailored to each client's needs.
- Conduct founder-level conversations about business strategy and translate them into product architecture, backlogs, and shipped outcomes.
- Connect dots between market trends, data, and founder vision to identify opportunities and make senior strategy and product recommendations.
- Direct AI-native engineering workflows, including Claude Code, agentic workflows, and frontier models, and coach teams on AI co-creation.
- Continuously evaluate whether what's being built is generating real user value and course-correct when it's not.
- Identify new product opportunities and engagements that could scale into standalone ventures.
What We're Looking For
- Founded and shipped at least one company, with experience in fundraising, building, selling, and pivots; an exit is ideal.
- Experience wearing multiple hats: CEO, CTO, product lead, or similar across engineering, design, product, and go-to-market.
- Technical proficiency to direct AI-native engineering and strategic ability to challenge CEO-level assumptions on what to build and why.
- Systems thinker: able to hold product, market, channel, and business model simultaneously and make fast decisions.
- High EQ: able to build trust quickly with founders, read a room, and give hard feedback without breaking relationships.
- Strong cultural fluency in US tech and startup ecosystems, with experience navigating American business environments.
- Based in Latin America.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in venture studios, agency leadership, or multi-client consulting environments.
- Track record of successful exits or venture-backed company building.
- Experience coaching or mentoring product and engineering teams.
- Exposure to U.S. startup ecosystem and multicultural, distributed teams.
