Centra Health, Inc is hiring a Chief Information Officer to provide strategic leadership for our IT and digital initiatives. You will set the mission and vision of the IT organization, fostering a business-oriented culture. This role is pivotal in aligning technology strategy with our enterprise goals, driving innovation, and ensuring the secure and effective delivery of IT services.

What You'll Do

• Set the mission and vision of the IT organization to foster a business-oriented culture and mindset.
• Guide the organization in prioritizing limited IT resources and spending to support a portfolio of technology systems and capabilities that drive success.
• Lead the development of the IT strategy and roadmap, ensuring its integration with the enterprise’s strategic planning process.
• Ensure cost-effective delivery of IT services to meet business goals and respond with agility to changing business priorities.
• Collaborate with executive leadership and business partners to define and execute the digital business strategy.
• Maintain currency on new technologies and provide direction on emerging technologies to assimilate and integrate.
• Provide strategic direction for the design, development, operation, and support of IT systems and programs.
• Develop and control the annual operating and capital expenditure budget for IT.
• Direct the development of IT sourcing strategy and provide executive oversight for strategic vendor and partner relationship management.
• Develop and maintain an IT workforce.
• Lead the establishment and execution of a digital workplace strategy.
• Serve on enterprise planning and policymaking committees, driving development of enterprise technology standards, governance processes, and performance metrics.
• Serve as Chair of the IT Governance Council, overseeing Centra’s IT Governance framework.
• Advise on industry best practice IT infrastructure for new construction and major renovation or expansion projects.
• Ensure the integrity, reliability, and security of computerized information, communication, and office systems.
• Direct continual improvements of IT staff, equipment, and procedures to maintain pace with technological progress, economic change, and enterprise needs.
• Leverage AI and Machine Learning to drive AI efforts and ensure AI ambition translates into tangible outcomes.
• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of AI-powered agency operating systems to support business goals securely and efficiently.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Fifteen (15) or more years of experience in IT in health care or a related industry, including significant experience in a leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience in IT strategic planning, organizational design and development.

Nice to Have

• Master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Five (5) or more years of leadership experience in health care or a related industry, leading large, cross-functional teams and/or enterprise-wide programs.
• Demonstrated success in influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders.
• Proven experience in leading IT transformational initiatives in complex environments by leveraging digital opportunities to innovate business models.
• Knowledge of and experience with Oracle Health (Cerner) and/or Allscripts or other leading software/SaaS products translatable to Centra’s technology stack.
• Experience managing a variety of platforms and system deployment in a heterogeneous environment.
• Experience with data warehousing and data analytics.
• Oversight of IT security and managing cyber threats and response to cyber events.
• Relevant knowledge of the healthcare IT environment and experience with matrix reporting relationships and project management.
• Skilled in supervision of staff and vendors, budgeting and finance, organizational design for an IT department, and oversight of RFIs/RFPs.
