The Organizational Transformation Institute (OTI) is seeking a Strategic Culture Evolution Leader to architect and guide OTI's nationwide transformational efforts, steering significant institutional partnerships and cultivating a dynamic team to integrate dialogue and exploratory methodologies across higher education environments.
About OTI
The Organizational Transformation Institute is a non-partisan nonprofit committed to equipping emerging leaders with communication and collaboration skills across diverse perspectives. Since 2017, OTI has collaborated with over 150 academic institutions nationwide, providing evidence-based programming designed to engage stakeholders at every organizational level to foster cultures of critical inquiry and meaningful dialogue. OTI was co-founded by psychologist Jonathan Haidt, renowned author of influential publications exploring human interaction dynamics.
Role Overview
Over recent years, following the launch of its comprehensive campus strategy, OTI has rapidly expanded partnerships with 150+ academic institutions—ranging from prestigious universities to community colleges—delivering programming supporting constructive interactions across differences. OTI is now entering a transformative phase to deepen institutional engagement, embedding inquiry principles into organizational frameworks. The Strategic Culture Evolution Leader will spearhead this emerging department, reporting directly to the Co-Founder & Executive Director and serving on OTI's leadership team.
Responsibilities:
Strategy, Systems, and Team Leadership
- Articulate and implement long-term vision for OTI's Institutional Culture Transformation function
- Develop scalable consulting frameworks ensuring consistent, high-impact delivery
- Construct and motivate a high-performance team emphasizing collaboration and continuous improvement
Institutional Partnerships and Consulting Delivery
- Direct comprehensive consulting engagements with educational institutions
- Serve as primary strategic advisor for prominent institutional partnerships
- Engage directly with senior academic leadership on change management initiatives
Leadership Program Management
- Supervise execution of OTI's exclusive Leadership Institute
- Collaborate with Impact Officer to develop leadership support offerings
Organizational Leadership
- Contribute to organization-wide strategic planning
- Represent OTI as a thought leadership voice through external communications
Candidate Requirements:
- 10+ years leading transformational organizational initiatives
- 7+ years consulting experience with senior academic leadership
- Proven track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder change efforts
- Demonstrated capability scaling consulting practices
- Exceptional communication skills
- Strong strategic thinking abilities
- Team development expertise

- Preference for higher education sector experience
