- Lead incident response and post-mortem analysis
- Oversee adoption of new tools and technologies
- Balance technical debt with feature development
- Facilitate agile rituals and process improvements
- Represent engineering in cross-functional planning
- Encourage innovation through experimentation
- Monitor team health and developer satisfaction
