About the Role
The role involves leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company’s compliance program, ensuring alignment with applicable laws, regulations, and internal standards. The individual will conduct audits, manage regulatory interactions, and support corporate governance initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of enterprise-wide compliance strategies
- Monitor changes in regulatory environments affecting the organization
- Oversee internal audits and compliance reviews across departments
- Prepare reports for executive leadership and board-level committees
- Manage responses to regulatory inquiries and enforcement actions
- Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees
- Maintain up-to-date compliance policies and procedural documentation
- Coordinate with legal and risk management teams on regulatory matters
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and industry-specific regulations
- Evaluate compliance risks associated with new business initiatives
- Supervise compliance team members and delegate responsibilities
- Establish metrics to track compliance program effectiveness
- Serve as primary contact for external regulatory agencies
- Support investigations into potential compliance violations
- Implement corrective action plans following audit findings
- Ensure proper recordkeeping and documentation practices
- Collaborate with human resources on employee conduct policies
- Review marketing and client communications for regulatory accuracy
- Assess third-party vendor compliance with contractual obligations
- Maintain currency with evolving cybersecurity and data privacy laws
- Advise senior management on compliance implications of strategic decisions
- Facilitate compliance aspects of mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures
- Promote a culture of ethical business practices across the organization
- Ensure timely filing of required regulatory disclosures
- Support periodic certification processes for regulatory compliance
