About the Role

Agilent Technologies is looking for a ChemBio Regulatory Specialist M/F/D to ensure our chemical and biological products and processes comply with global regulations. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for interpreting complex regulations, developing robust compliance processes, and supporting the entire product lifecycle.

What You'll Do

  • Interpret and apply international, federal, state, and local chemical and biological regulations, including TSCA, REACH/CLP, GHS, and USDA-APHIS.
  • Oversee global regulatory reporting, registrations, and notifications.
  • Provide expert guidance on the development, review, and approval of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and GHS labeling.
  • Engage with Regulatory Intelligence to identify emerging regulations and assess their impact.
  • Develop and implement proactive risk mitigation strategies for compliance and market access.
  • Serve as a recognized expert on ChemBio product regulations, providing strategic guidance to cross-functional teams.
  • Represent Agilent in industry forums and regulatory discussions.
  • Work with supporting divisions to ensure new product introductions (NPI) comply with regulations in target markets.
  • Proactively engage with R&D to align new product development with global regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and deliver expert training on global product regulations.
  • Develop and maintain ChemBio regulatory compliance processes and support tool development.
  • Provide regulatory guidance for managing ChemBio regulatory inspections and responding to authorities.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biochemical Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in ChemBio regulatory compliance within a multinational chemical, life science, diagnostics, or related industry.
  • Deep understanding of global chemical and biological regulations (e.g., TSCA, REACH/CLP, GHS, USDA-APHIS).
  • Strong track record of providing regulatory compliance support for New Product Introduction (NPI) and product lifecycle management.
  • Expert knowledge of Enterprise Compliance Software Solutions, with a strong track record of implementing SDS, GHS, and Chemical/Biological Database-related software.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor cross-functional teams and drive regulatory initiatives in a matrixed global organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify emerging regulatory trends and translate them into strategic opportunities or risk mitigation plans.
  • Active participation in relevant industry associations or regulatory working groups.
  • Experience advocating for company positions on chemical and biological regulations with agencies.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and risk-based skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work with international teams and navigate diverse regulatory environments.
  • Ability to identify and focus on key business priorities.
  • Adherence to the highest ethical standards and transparency.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-starter, team-player, and continuous-learner.

Nice to Have

  • Professional certification in the regulatory area.
  • Experience in managing and leading global regulatory audits and inspections.
  • Familiarity with Agilent products and the markets Agilent serves.

Work Mode

This role follows a hybrid work model, with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.
