About the Role

Huntress is hiring a Channel Sales Engineer III to serve as the strategic technical overlay for our key alliances, primarily focused on Microsoft security and cloud plus ecosystem partners. In this senior role, you will own the technical side of the Microsoft + Huntress story, designing integration patterns, supporting joint opportunities, and scaling partner enablement.

What You'll Do

  • Define and continuously refine how Huntress complements and extends Microsoft Security (e.g., Defender, Entra ID, Sentinel) and M365 in real customer environments.
  • Architect and validate end-to-end telemetry flows (e.g., Entra sign-ins, Azure Activity Logs) into SIEM/log platforms for Huntress SIEM and ITDR.
  • Lead technical portions of joint customer calls with alliance and channel field teams, scoping proof-of-concepts and validating integration requirements.
  • Serve as primary technical point of contact for a small set of high-impact alliances, translating their needs into implementation plans.
  • Build and deliver focused enablement for alliance SEs and sellers on Huntress use cases, integration patterns, and licensing.
  • Turn partner and telemetry feedback into structured input for Product, PMM, and the SOC.
  • Stay on top of Microsoft Security announcements and new API availability.
  • Partner with Technical Sales leadership to shape internal training and demo patterns.
  • Travel 25–40% for alliance meetings, co-sell opportunities, and field events.

What We're Looking For

  • 5–7+ years in roles directly aligned to Microsoft Security and cloud (e.g., SE/SA at a security ISV, MSSP, LSP/SI, or partner).
  • Hands-on experience in Defender, Entra ID/Azure AD, M365 (Business Premium/E3/E5), Sentinel/Log Analytics, and related workloads.
  • Demonstrated success working in co-sell or alliance motions with large platform vendors.
  • Practical experience enabling and routing Microsoft cloud telemetry into SIEM/log solutions and using those signals in investigations.
  • Understanding of how channel, distribution, and alliance ecosystems operate.
  • Ability to turn complex integration stories into clear enablement artifacts.
  • Confident presenting to both technical and business stakeholders at partners and customers.
  • Experience defining success criteria, tracking enablement and pipeline impact, and navigating ambiguity.

Nice to Have

  • Prior work at, or closely alongside, Microsoft or large Microsoft-aligned partners.
  • Experience building or scaling joint security offers (e.g., managed Defender, MDR on top of Microsoft).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft skilling programs and partner playbooks.
  • Hands-on exposure to SOC or incident response.
  • Background working with large resellers, distributors, or marketplaces on security and integration topics.

  • Compensation: $205,000 to $215,000 OTE (80/20 split) plus equity.
