The Chaiken Center for Student Success in Penn State's College of the Liberal Arts is hiring a Change of Campus Lead Mentor. This role provides critical support and guidance to liberal arts students making the transition to University Park from Commonwealth campuses, helping them navigate their new environment and succeed academically and personally.
What You'll Do
- Provide one-on-one mentoring for students changing campus.
- Hold drop-in hours in the Chaiken Center to meet with mentees.
- Help coordinate events for this student population with the Director.
- Table at resource events on behalf of change-of-campus student outreach.
- Assist with targeted outreach communication efforts.
- Collaborate with other college units and student organizations to promote their programming.
What We're Looking For
- You must be an undergraduate student.
- You must be interested in helping other students navigate challenges.
Nice to Have
- A strong preference for undergraduate students enrolled in majors offered by the College of the Liberal Arts.
- A strong preference for students who themselves transitioned to University Park as a Change of Campus student from a Commonwealth campus.
Team & Environment
You will work within a student success team in the Center and collaborate closely with the director and coordinator.

This is an onsite position.
