Allegion is looking for a Certified Payroll Specialist to play a vital role in the execution and maintenance of our certified payroll operations. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reporting, coordinating with stakeholders, and supporting business applications while upholding our commitment to pioneering safety and security. What You'll Do
- Actively support and ensure compliance of union reporting and timely payments to meet stringent deadlines.
- Ensure legal compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, including Davis Bacon/Prevailing wage certified payroll requirements.
- Review, track, and submit certified payroll and supporting documentation, sharing direction and project status with team members.
- Review and verify payroll records, benefit statements, DAS forms, and other paperwork for compliance.
- Monitor and manage an email inbox for timely completion of information gathering and reporting requests.
- Work closely with the field team to maintain relationships and review prevailing wage determinations and fringe metrics.
- Prepare and distribute various payroll reports to customers.
- Manage the process for any OCIP, CCIP, and TCIP monthly reporting, adjustments, maintenance, and audits.
- Coordinate with Branch locations to ensure proper administration of certified payroll reporting requirements.
- Issue requests for missing or revised documentation and correspond with contractors to ensure compliance.
- Evaluate internal processes for state and federal public works projects to ensure accurate information flow.
- Compile payroll data for field employees, reconcile errors, and maintain payroll records.
- Perform data entry into LCP Tracker and other state or county compliance monitoring software.
- Respond to periodic audits on the adherence and accuracy of public works compliance processes.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma required.
- Experienced payroll professional with 2+ years of payroll administration.
- Ability to follow direction and complete routine work independently.
- Effective critical thinking skills.
- Ability to collaborate, consult, and partner with all levels and work well in a team environment.
- Excellent interpersonal communications (verbal and written).
- Ability to multi-task, act with a sense of urgency, and produce results.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Workday and Kronos preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Suite preferred.
