Responsibilities
- Keep construction project records according to agency guidelines.
- Coordinate with the Owner, Contractor, and inspection team on contract plan reviews, daily construction tasks, and contractor submittals.
- Conduct or supervise reviews of daily inspection reports and quantity calculations.
- Possess thorough practical knowledge of treatment facilities.
- Receive general task instructions and use initiative and independent judgment to resolve work issues.
- Direct and assign specific duties to inspectors and support all phases of the construction project.
- Monitor contractor progress, review, and process contractor invoices throughout the project.
- Prepare independent cost estimates and negotiate contractor costs for change orders and phased design-build work documents.
Requirements
- A Civil Engineering degree plus two years of engineering experience in major road or bridge construction.
- For non-degreed personnel, eight years of relevant engineering experience, including two years in major road or bridge construction (excluding Complex Category 2 bridge structures).
- To be in primary control, must have supervised two or more inspectors and two or more support staff (Office Manager, Compliance Officer, Secretary) and been directly responsible for all CEI services assigned.
- CTQP Final Estimates Level II certification.
- FDOT Advanced MOT certification.
- Attend CTQP Quality Control Manager Course and pass the examination.
