About the Role

Kin Insurance is hiring a Carrier Relations Manager, Brokerage to join our Agency division. In this role, you will build upon existing carrier relationships and add new partners to fuel growth. You will spearhead all carrier-related projects, manage day-to-day relationships, and partner with Sales to ensure compliance with carrier preferences.

What You'll Do

  • Define the Carrier Relations strategy, setting the vision and roadmap for expanding existing partnerships and adding new Carriers.
  • Negotiate and secure access to a competitive product portfolio and contract terms.
  • Monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with obligations.
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with Carriers as the primary point of contact.
  • Define clear objectives and success metrics for Carrier partnerships.
  • Run monthly calls and annual business reviews with Carriers.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to ensure upholding commitments to partners.
  • Act as subject matter expert on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive activities.
  • Update the Carrier Matrix so Sales and Service teams are current on partner appetites and guidelines.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of progressive, personal lines experience in carrier relationship management.
  • Active P&C Insurance License in your resident state, or required to obtain within the first 30 days of employment.
  • Proven track record of successfully cultivating and managing Carrier relationships.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, including contract management experience.
  • Excels at collaborating cross-functionally with senior internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to understand and take action based on data trends.
  • Attention to detail with strong organizational capabilities.
  • High aptitude for problem solving, able to assess problems, research alternatives, and pursue solutions within company guidelines.
  • Proficient use of Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Gmail).
