IQVIA is hiring a Care Manager - Patient Call Center (Remote)

About the Role

What You'll Do

  • Conduct outbound calls to insurance providers to confirm coverage eligibility and gather necessary documentation for patient care
  • Respond to incoming inquiries related to pharmacy services, ensuring accurate and timely resolution
  • Support patients through enrollment in copay assistance programs offered by manufacturers and nonprofit organizations
  • Follow up on prior authorization requests and appeals, tracking status and communicating updates efficiently
  • Document all interactions with precision and maintain compliance with program-specific quality metrics
  • Report adverse drug events in accordance with established protocols and safeguard patient privacy under HIPAA regulations
  • Collaborate within a virtual team environment, contributing to shared goals while working independently
  • Participate in training sessions to stay current with evolving processes, policies, and technology platforms
  • Support onboarding efforts for new team members when needed

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education
  • At least one year of experience in medical billing, insurance verification, or a comparable healthcare administrative role
  • Minimum of three months of data entry experience with demonstrated accuracy
  • Typing speed of at least 30 words per minute
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks without compromising quality
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
  • Familiarity with soft phone systems such as WebEx, Mitel, or Shoretel
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both written and spoken form
  • Reliable internet connection with direct plug-in access — Wi-Fi is not permitted
  • Private, distraction-free workspace to ensure confidentiality and compliance
  • Must reside in the country where the position is advertised

Preferred Qualifications

  • Some college coursework completed
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish
  • Prior experience in a patient support services hub or similar setting
  • Customer service background within the healthcare industry
