Highmark Inc. is seeking a Cardiac Device Specialist / SEIU-E to support cardiology practices by analyzing cardiac devices and maintaining patient data. The role is central to our telemonitoring program, ensuring the accurate function and follow-up for patients with implanted devices.
What You'll Do
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge and understanding of pacer equipment.
- Analyze and re-program all pacemakers using various programs.
- Perform independent quarterly transtelephonic pacemaker checks.
- Manage all patient data through the dedicated software application.
- Reprogram devices as ordered by the physician.
- Maintain follow-up appointments for pacemaker and ICD patients.
- Conduct family and patient education on the care of pacemakers and ICDs.
- Perform EKGs as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
What We're Looking For
- Associate's degree and one or more years of related experience and training.
- BLS certification.
- 1 year of experience as a Senior Monitor Technician.
Nice to Have
- 1 year of experience in the electrophysiology field.
