TensorOps is hiring a Carbon Removal Project Origination Manager for North America. In this role, you will apply your negotiation and partnership skills to recruit owners and developers of durable carbon removal projects. You will serve as a key consultant to help them scale and commercialize, represent the company at events, and stay current with market trends to inform strategy.
What You'll Do
- Identify new project owners and projects across mature, maturing, and emerging durable removal types.
- Manage your own sales pipeline of removal projects and nurture relationships with key accounts.
- Foster relationships and negotiate partnership agreements with scalable durable carbon removal companies.
- Act as an expert advisor to key partners, supporting them through project development, certification, and credit sales.
- Travel regularly (approximately 20% of the time) to visit project owners and sites, and represent the company at conferences.
- Build networks and relationships with carbon removal partners and the greater ecosystem.
- Support communication with large corporate partners, including presenting removal projects and becoming an expert on methodologies.
- Become an expert user of the digital platform: manage removals and credits, lead product demos, and support onboarding.
- Support project due diligence, including reputational, financial, and environmental risk assessment.
What We're Looking For
- More than 3 years professional experience in a consultative sales role with a solid sales track record.
- Skillful and compelling communicator, fluent in English.
- Strong understanding of durable carbon removals and the differences between removal technologies.
- Experience working in carbon or other environmental markets.
- Experience in initiating, negotiating, and managing partner relationships.
- Ability to thrive in actively evolving and dynamic environments.
- Persistent, self-motivated, and have a strong bias to action.
- Familiar with HubSpot, Salesforce, or other CRM and pride yourself on keeping data clean and current.
- Prior remote-work experience.
Nice to Have
- Additional languages (French, Spanish, or Japanese).
- Work experience in the durable carbon removal market and with a strong network.
- Great storyteller with public speaking experience.
- Experience reviewing, adapting, and negotiating bespoke commercial contracts.

You will be an integral part of the Global CDR Sales team and the Americas Growth Team, collaborating with Buyer Sales and Marketing teams. You will report to Adam Sipthorpe, Head of CDR Sourcing.
