Job Summary
Reports to the Program Director, works collaboratively with Program Managers, Dorm Leads, Clinical Assistants, Training Supervisor, Human Resources, Intake/Discharge Team, Nursing, Facilities, and Clinical team to support optimal program operations.
Responsibilities
- Strategically utilizes staff throughout the facility based on their strengths and needs.
- Provides on-the-floor training and supervision for staff.
- Maintains contact with all pods throughout shift and responds to requests for support.
- Communicates all staff concerns to program management team
- Demonstrates alignment with Ridge NH leadership team and models professionalism
- Operates as a “culture keeper”, providing coaching and development to staff regarding professional conduct as a team.
- Responds to critical events, client crises, and requests for support in a timely manner.
- Models CPI aligned de-escalation strategies
- Completes all critical incident reports in 24 hours
- Provides communication to external stakeholders on critical events within 24 hours.
- Identifies and provides solutions to teams managing recurring incidents and elevates any continued concerns to program management.
- Ensures adherence to emergency operating procedures
- Ensures that the facility remains in ratio (1:4) and that staff scheduled on shift are supported.
- Conducts searches for all dorms randomly and as needed for safety risks.
- Assigns staff and provides coaching and oversight on 1:1 supervision and documentation.
- Provides on the floor coaching regarding head counts, environment scanning, and zoning.
- Is present during all times of transition.
- Manages accuracy of all spreadsheets (dorm chart), as well as the EHR for occupancy.
- Collaborates with clinical team to support assessments and de-escalation.
- Provides real time direction and feedback to staff regarding the relational model of care, client safety and interventions to support optimal outcomes.
- Collaborates with Training supervisor to support onboarding and training for new hires.
- Communicates all areas where further training is required to program management
- Elevates employee concerns to human resources and program management team
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with mental health diagnoses.
- Experience working in management or supervisory level role in a residential facility.
- Education, training, or work/volunteer experience with adolescents.
- Valid driver's license with clean driving records and current auto insurance.
- Current CPI certification or applicable crisis training and/or education.
- Water Safety certification.
