WECTEC Staffing Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Westinghouse Electric Company LLC, is looking for a CAE Engineer to join its team. In this role, you will contribute to the selection, development, and maintenance of CAD engineering and design tools used within the organization, supporting the future of nuclear energy through technical innovation and expert problem-solving.
What You'll Do
- Support the CAD Administration Lead in day-to-day tasks.
- Support administration of the Trimble / TEKLA and AutoDesk software suites.
- Plan, schedule, and execute assignments independently within project schedule and budgetary requirements.
- Oversee the creation and development of 3D models and related engineering data for various disciplines (CSA, Electrical, Piping, etc.) using established quality standards.
- Oversee creation and revision control of drawings derived from 3D models.
- Oversee data management tools used to store and maintain CAD data.
- Perform associated software administration tasks, including vendor communication and license usage review.
- Work with key stakeholders to develop and maintain interface connections between CAD management tools and other enterprise software solutions.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil/Structural Engineering.
- Experience with various CAD applications, including Autodesk, AVEVA, and Hexagon-based products.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Trimble/TEKLA and Autodesk suite administration (AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Vault).
- Ability to troubleshoot software issues effectively.
- Understanding of software development techniques and processes.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong planning, organizational, and technical skills across a wide variety of CAD software.
