State Street’s Collateral team is hiring a Business Systems Analyst to architect, design, and manage software projects critical to our client’s real-time transaction processing. You will join a financial services environment where you can perform this role in a hybrid model, balancing work from home and office to match your needs.
What You'll Do
- Manage projects on a monthly software release cycle with minimal supervision.
- Gather business requirements by coordinating activities between business users, developers, and managers.
- Develop use cases, functional specifications, and test cases, ensuring full test coverage and documentation for each release.
- Meet with client senior managers, present business solutions, and set up or optimize business processes.
- Handle release weekend support and ongoing production support.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in the Capital Markets domain, within an Asset Management or Investment Banking organization.
- Hands-on knowledge of relational databases/SQL (Sybase preferred).
- Understanding of post-trade processing and the trade life cycle for instruments including: fixed income, equity, foreign exchange, derivatives, and financing trades like repurchase agreements.
- Experience testing software designed for elaborate business scenarios.
- Experience with production support and issue triage.
- Exposure to Unix is a must.
- Strong understanding of the SDLC process and project methodologies like Waterfall and Agile.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently perform data analysis, derive field mappings and transformations, and design business solutions in software.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously across different teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with team members and stakeholders in multiple locations.
- Aptitude for learning new things and flexibility to adapt and follow guidelines.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Jira and Agile boards.
- Understanding of XML, including creating XSD.
