Zayo was looking for a Business Development Representative

Zayo is looking for a Business Development Representative to drive sales growth in Ontario. You will actively sell Zayo's communications infrastructure and connectivity services to new prospective accounts within your assigned territory.

What You'll Do

  • Generate sales revenue by actively promoting Zayo products and services to targeted and assigned territories.
  • Execute the regional go-to-market plan to increase sales revenue in Zayo OnNet/Near Net buildings.
  • Manage a high volume of work (calls, emails) while maintaining a high degree of responsiveness.
  • Track, analyze, and report on sales performance and activities in Salesforce and Salesloft.
  • Provide accurate and timely forecasts of sales opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain records of customer activity for reporting of sales and forecasts.
  • Provide accurate and timely information to management.
  • Coordinate closely with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and revenue objectives are met.
  • Collaboratively work as part of a team while concurrently performing as an individual with minimal supervision.
  • Take incoming inquiries from our sales queue or live online chat.

What We're Looking For

  • A Bachelor's degree and/or a minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to learn Zayo's value proposition and product suite, including Ethernet, Waves, IP transport, Dark Fiber, and Cloud services.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and strong financial acumen.
  • A quick learner who collaborates well with others.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • A sense of urgency and desire to rapidly accelerate results and career.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; approachable, respectful, and able to present data effectively.

Nice to Have

  • Salesforce experience is a plus.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Annual salary range: $48,600 - $64,700 CAD.

This is a local-country position in the Toronto metro area, Ontario, Canada.
