About the Role

RateHawk, part of Emerging Travel Group (ETG), is looking for a Business Development Manager (Direct Supply) to contract directly with hotels and drive growth in designated destinations. You will be at the forefront of sourcing inventory, analyzing markets, and building key partnerships in Spain. Our mission is to innovate within the travel industry to make travel more widely available and simpler for everyone.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct thorough market analysis and research to identify growth opportunities in your destinations.
  • Utilize extranet tools and negotiation skills to contract directly with hotels, securing favorable terms and inventory.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hotel partners to maximize mutual benefits.
  • Negotiate competitive rates, discounts, and value-added amenities with hotel partners.
  • Monitor the performance of contracted hotels, including occupancy rates and client feedback.
  • Manage the entire contracting process, from initial negotiation through execution and renewal.
  • Collaborate closely with internal sales, operations, and product teams to align efforts with business objectives.
  • Spend approximately 30% of your working time on business trips for client meetings and industry events.
  • Provide regular reports on market trends, contracting activities, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements governing hotel contracts.

What We're Looking For

  • A minimum of 2 years of successful experience in the online travel industry or a hotel contracting role within hospitality.
  • An established network of hotel contacts and business leads.
  • Demonstrated experience in market analysis, strategy development, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Proven experience negotiating contracts and agreements with accommodation partners.
  • Familiarity with revenue management principles and strategies.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with hotels and internal teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple hotel contracts simultaneously.
  • Ability to understand and work across a wide range of cultural contexts reflecting ETG's global presence.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English.
  • Ambitious, team-oriented, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
