Responsibilities
- Achieve sales and profitability targets by cultivating committed distributor partnerships that prioritize the company's product lines.
- Collaborate with partners to predict demand, control stock levels, and prevent supply gaps to ensure readiness for shipping and market wins.
- Lead channel-specific promotions and product launches to maintain top-of-mind awareness and shelf presence.
- Work across internal sales, marketing, and product teams to realize channel opportunities and ensure cross-functional alignment.
- Identify changes in market trends, pricing, and competitor actions, and convert that intelligence into actionable business strategies.
- Generate revenue through key security and low-voltage distributors across the United States, focusing on ADI, Wesco/Anixter, KOA, Silmar, and Pioneer Music Company.
- Build strong relationships with buyers, category managers, and regional sales leaders to align product strategy and revenue objectives.
- Implement joint business plans, promotions, and product launches to increase the company's share of wallet and competitive position.
- Conduct regular quarterly business reviews, forecasting sessions, and sales evaluations to ensure sales goals are met or exceeded.
- Acquire new customers through training and education for consultants and installers, maximizing deal registration, inventory availability, and quoting.
- Deliver product and sales training to distributor sales teams to enable and motivate them to sell the company's products.
- Collaborate internally with marketing, product, and B2B sales teams to align distributor activities with the overall go-to-market strategy.
Requirements
- 5 to 7 or more years of experience in channel sales, distribution, or business development within the networking or surveillance industries.
- A bachelor's degree.
- Practical experience managing key distributors such as ADI, Wesco/Anixter, KOA, Pioneer Music Company, and Silmar Electronics.
- Solid understanding of the B2B market with a two-tier distribution model (manufacturer to distributor to reseller or dealer).
- Excellent closing skills and proven ability to communicate clearly over the phone, in writing, in presentations to leadership, or in distributor branches.
- Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and an ownership mindset that drives results without needing permission.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, and comfort using CRM tools to track KPIs, pipeline, and account activity.
- Ability to quickly learn product features and translate them into value for partners and end users.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data, identify trends, and adjust strategy accordingly.
- Willingness to travel as needed for onsite distributor meetings, training sessions, trade shows, and events.
