About the Role

At Atlas Copco, we are looking for a Business Controller for a parental leave replacement lasting at least one year. This role is central to overseeing the ITBA Business Lines Service (SCE) and General Industry (GIN) of our Customer Center, supporting Business Line Managers with the insights needed for effective decision-making. You will safeguard internal controls and drive sustainable, profitable growth through rigorous financial planning and analysis.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure SCE and GIN business activities and internal controls comply with company standards to safeguard assets and ensure compliance, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee adherence to local statutory regulations and legal requirements, confirmed via external audits, and report to government and regulatory entities as needed.
  • Provide the Business Line Manager with regular, concise dashboards featuring key business indicators, highlights, and potential risks to guide strategic decisions.
  • Lead and coordinate all SCE and GIN financial reporting activities (monthly, quarterly, and annual) in alignment with Group requirements.
  • Support the development of companywide and divisional business plans, including defining financial budgets and targets; review, monitor, and control the planning process.
  • Proactively identify and escalate potential risks, draft corrective action plans, and oversee their implementation and follow-up.
  • Assist in preparing for and actively participate in Business Review Meetings and Business Board Meetings.
  • Collaborate with all departments to facilitate business improvements and implement ERP best practices with the goal of maximizing profitability.

What We're Looking For

  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in the financial area.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP) with the ability to apply this understanding to products, markets, and sales processes.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint), advanced Excel skills, and experience working with complex datasets and Power Pivot/Power Query.
  • Experience with ERP systems and BI tools (e.g., SAP, Power BI) and internal reporting tools like GPS.
  • A university degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven professional with strong leadership capabilities, able to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, empower a team, and demonstrate genuine interest in business operations.

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience within the Atlas Copco Group or other multinational sales and service companies.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, with a preference for SAP.
  • Familiarity with Atlas Copco Finance and Administration requirements (FAM) as defined in company standards.
  • A dynamic performer motivated by challenges, with strong negotiation skills.
  • Fluency in German and English.
