Unitek Learning is hiring a per diem BSN Instructor to guide nursing students in Fremont, CA. You will work 12-hour shifts on Saturdays, teaching and supervising in classroom and clinical environments with a focus on obstetrics.
What You'll Do
- Teach and supervise nursing students in classroom and clinical settings, focusing on obstetrics
- Collaborate with faculty to develop, administer, and grade course materials and examinations
- Evaluate student performance and maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and clinical skills
- Participate in curriculum development, quality improvement initiatives, and program assessment
- Orient and mentor new faculty members in both theory and clinical instruction
- Utilize adult learning principles and integrate technology in teaching methods
- Maintain current knowledge of nursing practices, technologies, and safety regulations in obstetrics
- Participate in faculty meetings, committee activities, and student advising
- Ensure clinical assignments meet both student learning objectives and facility requirements
- Submit required reports and forms to the program director in a timely manner
- Maintain professional development and contribute to the nursing program's mission and goals
What We're Looking For
- Hold a valid, active license issued by the State Board of Registered Nursing
- Master of Nursing or higher degree from an accredited college or university that includes coursework in nursing or education, administration, OB, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, or Medical Surgical
- At least four years’ experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care
- A year of clinical experience within the last five years (clinical teaching applies toward direct patient care)
- Expertise in one of the following areas of nursing: Psychiatric, Geriatrics, Med/Surg, Pediatrics, or OB-Gyn
- Must have MedSurg or Mental Health experience

- Compensation: $55.00 (minimum), $62.50 (midpoint), and $72.00 (maximum) per hour. Typical hiring range is between the minimum and midpoint.
