Camden National Bank is looking for a BSA Analyst to join our Risk and Compliance team. In this role, you'll assist in implementing and administering the Bank Secrecy Act compliance program, working under the guidance of the BSA Officer to advise on compliance issues and execute controls to mitigate risk.
What You'll Do
- Identify, review, and investigate the activities of high-risk bank customers.
- Investigate and resolve suspicious activity alerts, customer due diligence alerts, and OFAC alerts.
- Complete enhanced due diligence reviews for high-risk customers and customer behavior reviews.
- Identify potential weaknesses or gaps in the BSA/AML automated software solution.
- Prepare and file suspicious activity reports (SARs).
- Support activities related to gathering and maintaining the bank’s listing of all designated exempt persons.
- Assist, track, and respond to IRS and State of Maine levies, subpoenas, and court orders.
- Assist the BSA Officer in gathering information for audits and regulatory exams.
- Review and update day-to-day compliance operating procedures.
- Provide input to the BSA Officer on control weaknesses, policy enhancements, and training needs.
- Provide support to all stakeholders company-wide relating to compliance or other project initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- Undergraduate degree or high school diploma.
- 1-3 years of general banking or regulatory agency experience, with an emphasis on compliance and/or operations.
- Knowledge of all Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Nice to Have
- Demonstrated familiarity with banking systems and operations.
- Familiarity with using the internet to research compliance and customer-related issues.
