Mass General Brigham (The McLean Hospital Corporation) is looking for a per-diem CT Technologist to operate CT scanners, produce diagnostic scans, and perform patient care tasks. You’ll work under general direction from the manager, ensuring accurate imaging, maintaining equipment, and adhering to departmental protocols.
What You'll Do
- Prepare, set up, and operate CT Scanners following specific physician orders.
- Produce detailed computer-generated scans for diagnostic and interventional information.
- Perform patient care tasks: assist patients onto scanner, verify identification, and enter patient information from requisitions.
- Ensure files are archived onto local media and networked to RELAY/PACS and completed properly in RIS.
- Maintain facilities in proper order.
- Keep abreast of all outpatient procedures and policies within the CT Department.
- Confirm correct patient and exam through patient confirmation, interview, history, and medical record.
- Explain exam to patient considering individual physical, emotional, and language needs.
- Adjust scanners and injectors to correct settings for all exams.
- Perform required imaging using appropriate equipment according to department protocol and/or Radiologist request.
- Ensure exams are labeled correctly prior to transmission to PACS and that images successfully arrive.
- Adhere to all departmental and hospital policies.
What We're Looking For
- Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic technology or related field (Certificate/Diploma).
- ARRT or NMTCB Registry required.
- MA State license required.
- CT Certification required within 1 year of hire.
- BLS required within 90 days.
