Scout Motors is looking for a Broadcast Engineer to maintain the technical equipment for our 24/7 news operation. You’ll balance immediate troubleshooting needs with ongoing projects, ensuring our broadcast systems remain reliable and up-to-date.

What You'll Do

Support daily news operations, including all related equipment and computer-based IT systems.
Install and maintain broadcast and IT equipment at studio facilities, transmitter sites, in remote broadcast vehicles, and at other locations.
Troubleshoot equipment issues, making repairs or implementing workarounds as necessary.
Perform routine security updates and reboots of broadcast servers.
Contribute to technical documentation that accurately represents installed equipment.
Occasionally support field work on remote productions.
Perform minor building-related maintenance tasks as needed.

What We're Looking For

0-1 years of experience in broadcast engineering or a related field.
A current driver’s license and the ability to operate a news gathering vehicle to various locations.
Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
The ability to work efficiently without direct supervision.
The ability to work well under pressure, take initiative, and collaborate with others.
A solid understanding of current computer hardware, network technologies, and Microsoft’s Active Directory environment.
The ability to plan technical projects and clearly communicate the status of problems, provide updates on progress, and offer solutions.
The ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and be available on call.
The ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work on elevated surfaces, pull and install wiring, use hand and power tools, and work on small components.
