Newell Brands is hiring a Brand Director (Sr. Director, Global Brand Marketing) for a critical global leadership role. You will have direct responsibility for the $600M+ Home Fragrance portfolio and lead global end-to-end marketing. This position requires a broad business leader who can drive omnichannel growth and strategically influence a global organization.
What You'll Do
- Owns delivering global P&L commitments and directly manages US P&L to deliver annual financial commitments
- Lead the cross-functional brand leadership team to deliver annual brand goals
- Be the steward of the global brand positioning, ensuring consistency worldwide
- Lead development of short and long-term global brand strategy, partnering with local markets for adaptation
- Draft and execute the annual brand plan, enrolling direct reports and cross-functional teams
- Lead the cross-functional team to monitor DSMP (Distribution, Shelving, Merchandising, Pricing) targets
- Own the global brand architecture and partner with local markets to shift into the approved architecture
- Enforce global brand identity guidelines and protect the brand’s immutable core assets in all markets
- Utilize consumer segmentation to establish brand consumer target, brand muse, and media target
- Partner with insights to create a global consumer segmentation model applicable worldwide
- Own the creation and execution of a 3-year global innovation pipeline
- Lead the global innovation process, partnering with countries and regions to grow market share
- Lead the global annual brand planning process with input from the brand building marketing team
- Be responsible for timely development of all core assets needed for omni-channel new item launches
- Approve brand pricing strategy recommendations created by Brand Finance and Revenue Growth Management
- Be an expert at consumer understanding, partnering with insights to deliver winning propositions
What We're Looking For
- A four-year college degree
- 12+ years of brand management experience including deep marketing, innovation, and general management
- Proven ability in talent management, attracting and retaining top talent, and leading teams
- Prior experience in fashion, beauty, or a trends-driven business
- Industry experience in CPG and hardlines, with proven success in both
- Prior demonstration of behaving as a “Servant Leader,” building brand architecture and driving brand value
- Classical brand builder with strong digital marketing skills (DTC, eCommerce, Retailer Media Networks)
