SCUSA Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is hiring a Box Room Operator to maintain continuous production flow. You will manage box-forming equipment, verify materials, and troubleshoot issues in a food manufacturing environment dedicated to making high-quality products and investing in its people.
What You'll Do
- Ensure box formers are filled to maintain continuous production.
- Fill box formers with correct boxes for the specific product being run.
- Verify box codes for accuracy.
- Conduct change-overs when switching to another product.
- Troubleshoot box jam-ups or box gluer issues.
- Operate a forklift to transport pallets of boxes for production runs.
- Keep your supervisor informed about actual versus planned production, production problems, and equipment downtime.
- Report maintenance issues using a request form or immediate paging system.
- Work safely by following all safety rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Follow all GMP and HACCP requirements and MSS protocols.
- Report food safety or quality problems to management and assist in corrective actions.
- Complete all paperwork, charts, etc., in a timely and legible manner.
- Maintain general housekeeping and a clean, orderly work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and comprehend verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to add, subtract, count, and tally production information.
- Ability to work the overnight shift of 6pm to 6am.
Nice to Have
- Previous manufacturing experience.
- Food operations experience.
- Knowledge of GMPs, general safety rules, and chemical right-to-know.
