Bulletins is seeking an Adjunct Lecturer in Communication Sciences and Disorders to teach American Sign Language (ASL) courses I, II, III, and IV (CSD 218, 318, 418, 428) during the Spring 2026 semester at Penn State Altoona. You'll introduce students to ASL fundamentals, including vocabulary, grammar, conversational skills, and Deaf cultural awareness.
What You'll Do
- Develop and deliver engaging instructional materials to support student learning.
- Foster an interactive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation.
- Assess and provide feedback on student progress through assignments, exams, and class activities.
- Hold office hours and provide support for students as needed.
What We're Looking For
- A Master’s degree in American Sign Language, Deaf Studies, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in American Sign Language and knowledge of Deaf culture.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Nice to Have
- Previous teaching experience at the college level.

This role is onsite at the Penn State Altoona campus.
