Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a Bioinformatics Scientist to join its research community. You will work closely with PhD-level scientists and researchers, providing computational expertise for single-cell RNA-seq and spatial transcriptomics data from mouse and human disease studies.
What You'll Do
- Provide computational support by applying a wide range of bioinformatics tools and technologies.
- Complete assignments within required timeframes, adhering to standard operating procedures and best practices, while adapting to a changing environment.
- Co-lead or participate in research computing projects with other members of the BCH research community, setting and achieving project goals.
- Coordinate work activities with stakeholders and contribute to resulting presentations and publications.
- Train staff and researchers, effectively tailoring presentations to the audience.
- Communicate scientific findings clearly through presentations, email, memos, and publications, presenting progress at project and departmental meetings.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
- A minimum of one year of advanced bioinformatics experience.
- Extensive knowledge of open-source bioinformatics software and pipelines in high-performance computing (HPC) environments.
Nice to Have
- A Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field.
Benefits & Compensation
- Salary range: $78,540.80 – $125,652.80 annually.
