AtkinsRéalis is looking for a Bid Writer to lead the development and writing of high-quality, client-focused proposals and tender responses to win work across Transportation Markets. You will be a key part of the Win Work mission, creating compelling content and championing best practices.
What You'll Do
- Lead the development and writing of high-quality, client-focused proposals and tender responses.
- Collaborate with technical teams to translate complex information into clear, persuasive written content.
- Ensure all submissions are compliant, compelling and client focused.
- Support the development of bid strategies, win themes and value propositions.
- Develop, manage and maintain a library of reusable content and case studies and contribute information to the Knowledge Hub and Proposals Information Hub.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of bid processes, tools and templates.
- Participate in bid reviews and lessons learned sessions.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience writing winning bids in a consulting, engineering and technology environment.
- Strong understanding of the Shipley proposal development process or similar structured bid methodologies.
- Excellent writing, editing and proofing skills with a keen eye and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret technical information and present it in a client-friendly format.
- Familiarity with public and private sector procurement processes.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work as part of a team.
- Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.
- Resilient under pressure and adaptable to changing priorities.
Nice to Have
- APMP certification or equivalent is advantageous.
- Experience working in a matrixed or global organisation.
