Wright Physical Therapy is hiring a Benefit Verification Specialist

Role OverviewAs a Benefit Verification Specialist, you will be responsible for confirming patient insurance eligibility and benefits, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date. You'll play a key role in maintaining compliance with insurance requirements and supporting smooth patient onboarding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Confirm insurance coverage and eligibility for patients prior to treatment
  • Input and manage patient data accurately in internal systems
  • Prepare necessary documentation ahead of patient evaluations
  • Respond to front office inquiries regarding insurance policies and authorization needs
  • Track active authorizations and renewal requirements based on insurer guidelines
  • Communicate benefit details clearly to patients when requested
  • Monitor performance metrics related to front office collections
  • Share timely updates on changes in insurance policies or internal processes
  • Support workflow improvements and system enhancements
  • Conduct re-verification of insurance as needed and perform regular audits for accuracy

Qualifications

Successful candidates must demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and the ability to navigate multiple software platforms efficiently. You should be comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced setting.

Previous experience in a healthcare or medical office environment—particularly with insurance verification—is highly valued. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is essential, especially those customized for clinical operations.
