About the Role

Air Liquide is hiring a Beauty Care Business Development Manager to build and expand our presence in the Japanese market. In this role, you will identify new opportunities, build strategic relationships, and win new business for the Beauty Care segment, managing key accounts and distributors.

What You'll Do

  • Develop strategic account management: identify strategic Japanese key accounts, establish development strategies and action plans with the SEPPIC distributor, and coordinate customer projects within SEPPIC Corporate.
  • Guide and appraise distributor performance: negotiate annual targets, set up action plans, monitor performance, and conduct annual appraisals.
  • Motivate the distributor to focus on business development and provide coordinated product, technical, and marketing tool training.
  • Propose and implement sales action plans to ensure accomplishment of sales targets, implement price management policy, and provide technical expertise support.
  • Support distributor sales promotion, participate in customer seminars, and identify strengths of SEPPIC ingredients in Japanese formulations.
  • Enhance interaction with the SEPPIC Beauty Care sales team to share success stories and problem-solving approaches.
  • Propose working procedures within the SEPPIC organization to improve service to distributors, customers, and overall sales performance.
  • Support sales assistants with debt collection when necessary.
  • Increase customer satisfaction by providing appropriate product, technical, and problem-solving support.
  • Present SEPPIC's technical expertise to key customers through In-House seminars with guests from HQ or APAC.
  • Develop a specific approach for ODM/OEM customers to consider SEPPIC as a key partner.
  • Identify potential customers for WESOURCE exclusivity platforms for actives.
  • Acquire deep expertise in the Japanese Beauty Care market: develop contacts with main players, map market size, growth, and trends, understand customer needs, and identify competitors.
  • Liaise with Japanese regulatory authorities to step up registration of SEPPIC ingredients.
  • Coordinate marketing actions to boost Beauty Care business in Japan, identifying specific marketing tools and proposing ingredients for development.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Personal Care business.
  • 2 to 5 years of sales and marketing experience.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science, preferably in Chemistry, Biosciences, or Pharma.

Nice to Have

  • Ideally 5 years of experience in a multinational company.

This is a local-country position based in Japan.
