4 More Capital Partners is hiring a Banking Services Operations Associate V to manage subpoena and legal document processing. In this critical operational role, you will ensure the bank meets its legal obligations by responding to requests for financial records within required timeframes.
What You'll Do
- Analyze routine to complex legal requests to understand scope and ensure Federal and State requirements are met.
- Communicate and negotiate with serving attorneys or agencies to clarify documentation scope and due dates.
- Complete research on bank systems to identify customer relationship types and locate responsive information.
- Work with internal departments to compile records and understand the full customer relationship.
- Respond to legal papers within designated timeframes by providing copies of bank records with an affidavit of authenticity.
- Coordinate appearances with Legal and other bank representatives to provide court testimony.
- Maintain records of all pertinent information related to legal paper for audit purposes.
- Log all incoming mail for tracking and control purposes.
- Participate in departmental projects related to miscellaneous papers and subpoenas.
- Complete reviews of Commercial Loan Files and provide updates on items needing redaction.
- Assist management with audits and reviews related to Subpoena and Miscellaneous Paper teams.
- Provide guidance to other associates as issues arise.
- Understand and adhere to the company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls.
- Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
- Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
- Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of audit points.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum of 4 years’ relevant work experience
- Proficiency with personal computers, word processing, spreadsheet, and email software
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with various notices and legal documents
- Previous research or investigation experience
Nice to Have
- Previous experience with pertinent bank applications and systems
- Experience as a paralegal or legal assistant in a large law firm
- Proven organizational and prioritization skills
- Ability to exercise good judgment and sound discretion
- Ability to recognize time sensitive and urgent matters
- Proven ability to multi-task and work under tight time constraints
Benefits & Compensation
- Hourly wage: $20.94 - $34.91 (USD)
