At Kyndryl, we are hiring an AWS Lead & Principal Consultant to act as the technical and strategic 'right hand' to our Public Cloud leadership. This hybrid, high-impact role bridges technical excellence in delivery with the commercial strategy of the practice, split between internal practice growth and high-value client advisory.

What You'll Do

Define architecture Blueprints, Guidelines, and Best Practices for AWS (The 'Kyndryl Way' on AWS).
Define and mentor the Career Path for AWS profiles, fostering a strong technical culture and community.
Provide technical authority for complex commercial proposals (RFP/RFI), designing winning solutions and defending them to client C-Levels.
Identify opportunities to integrate Data and Generative AI services into the standard infrastructure offering.
Lead technically (hands-on when necessary) the most challenging Cloud Native projects, designing solutions based on Serverless, Containers (EKS), and event-driven architectures.
Act as the trusted technical counterpart to client CIOs/CTOs, generating trust to expand our footprint through technical excellence.
Perform architecture reviews (Well-Architected Reviews) on ongoing projects to ensure delivery teams meet defined standards.

What We're Looking For

Demonstrable deep mastery of AWS (more than 8 years in IT, minimum 5 deep in AWS) in critical production environments.
AWS Solutions Architect certification required.
Cloud Native DNA: Must master AWS serverless and managed services like Lambda, Fargate, DynamoDB, Kinesis, APIGW.
Advanced experience in IaC (Terraform, CDK or CloudFormation) and modern CI/CD pipelines.
Client-facing & Executive Presence: Ability to be in a room with executives, understand their business pains, and articulate how AWS solves their problems without unnecessary technical jargon.
Team Builder & Social Skills: High emotional intelligence, ability to create teams, share knowledge, and attract talent. Ability to influence without imposing.
'Owner' mentality: Ability to work autonomously alongside the Director, identifying gaps in processes or offerings and proposing solutions.
Resilience and Context Management: Ability to balance delivery pressures ('the now') with building the practice ('the future').

Nice to Have

Experience architecting modern Data Lakes, data pipelines, and knowledge of AWS AI/ML services (SageMaker, Bedrock). Understanding of how to operationalize AI (MLOps/LLMOps).
