The AVP/VP Legal plays a central role in shaping and supporting the legal framework for a growing sustainable finance organization. With primary responsibility for Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam, this position operates out of the Singapore headquarters under a hybrid work model, enabling close coordination with regional and global stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the drafting, negotiation, and review of employment agreements, commercial contracts, non-disclosure agreements, partnership arrangements, and internal governance documents.
- Develop and maintain external-facing policies, ensuring third-party adherence and regulatory alignment across multiple jurisdictions.
- Provide timely legal guidance on strategic initiatives, corporate governance, and compliance matters as they emerge.
- Collaborate with in-house teams and outside counsel to manage legal risks and support organizational growth.
- Conduct legal research across diverse regulatory environments, particularly in emerging markets.
- Support compliance monitoring, legal audits, and regulatory tracking efforts to maintain operational integrity.
- Use legal technology platforms—including document management systems and e-discovery tools—to streamline workflows and maintain accurate legal records.
- Partner with HR, Finance, Credit, and Operations to deliver practical, solutions-focused legal advice that supports business objectives.
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a law degree or equivalent legal qualification with approximately 10 years of professional experience. Proven expertise in commercial and employment law, multi-jurisdictional compliance, and legal negotiation is essential. Experience supporting international expansion or organizational transitions is highly valued.
Strong legal research abilities, fluency in document management systems, and the capacity to explain complex legal concepts clearly to non-legal colleagues are required. The ideal candidate is collaborative, detail-oriented, and committed to ethical practices.
Familiarity with litigation processes or e-discovery platforms is an advantage, though not mandatory.
