Lincoln Financial is hiring an AVP, Product Owner to lead the Group Protection Portfolio Enablement team. This role provides strategic direction and functional expertise for the aligned value stream, managing delivery execution and the ongoing prioritization of business technology needs. You will have primary ownership of the Group Protection technology enablement intake process.
What You'll Do
- Own the Group Protection technology enablement intake process, including request triage, leadership coordination for prioritization, and confirmation of approved business cases across the ecosystem.
- Serve as the business liaison for new AI opportunities, conducting due diligence as part of the enterprise AI governance process.
- Lead the team providing Group Protection organizational readiness and project management activities, supporting various business initiatives.
- Maintain knowledge on current and emerging trends, assess their impact, and collaborate with senior management to incorporate them into strategies.
- Direct and enhance organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and departmental efforts.
- Identify and direct strategic process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality.
- Provide training, development opportunities, and honest feedback to aid in team talent development.
- Direct and evaluate departmental performance and take action to meet or exceed performance standards.
- Lead the Quarterly Portfolio Review (QPR) on behalf of the Value Stream, defining and presenting quarterly priorities.
- Own the Value Stream backlog and roadmap, prioritizing Epics.
- Synchronize the vision with other Product Owners and manage cross-team dependencies.
What We're Looking For
- A 4-year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of a degree).
- 10+ years of Insurance industry experience directly related to this position.
- 3+ years of managerial, supervisory, or demonstrated leadership experience, including influencing senior management and critical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated strong transformational leadership skills with the ability to develop and execute operational change impacting people, process, and technology.
- Ability to think critically, analyze information, evaluate implications, and make decisions under pressure.
- Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders and a proven ability to develop creative, collaborative approaches.
- Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Compensation range: $127,500 - $232,300.
Work Mode
This role follows a hybrid work model and is open to candidates based in Charlotte, NC (North Carolina) or Omaha, NE (Nebraska).
