Role Overview
As the Product Owner for ServiceNow, you will define the functional strategy and long-term vision of the platform within a Managed Services framework. You’ll serve as the bridge between technical delivery teams and business leadership, ensuring that platform development aligns with operational goals and real-world service demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and refine the ServiceNow backlog specific to Managed Services, ensuring clarity and strategic alignment.
- Convert business needs into well-defined user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Monitor ServiceNow’s evolving release cycle and assess how new features impact current and future operations.
- Inform leadership of emerging platform capabilities and recommend practical applications.
- Set priorities based on business value, risk mitigation, and service efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with architects and developers to ensure technical solutions reflect business objectives.
- Lead agile ceremonies including backlog reviews, sprint planning, and release evaluations.
- Represent the Managed Services business unit in all platform-related decision-making forums.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five years in roles such as Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Platform Lead.
- Deep familiarity with ServiceNow functionality and IT Service Management (ITSM) workflows.
- Proven experience working within agile development environments alongside technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hold active ServiceNow certifications such as Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS).
- Background supporting Managed Services or MSP models, particularly in service desk, NOC, or SOC contexts.
- Track record of aligning diverse stakeholders and guiding consensus across technical and non-technical groups.
- Experience driving platform improvements, integrations, or automation in complex operational settings.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interpret business requirements and shape technical direction.
Technology Environment
The role centers on the ServiceNow platform and its integration within ITSM processes. You’ll work remotely with full support for flexible scheduling and distributed collaboration.
