Barclays is looking for an Avaloq Business Analyst to support the organisation in achieving its strategic objectives by identifying business requirements and solutions. In this role, you will design, develop, and improve software that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities.
What You'll Do
- Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Participate in code reviews, adhere to secure coding practices, and implement effective unit testing.
- Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to your work.
- Guide team members, act as a contact point for stakeholders, and communicate complex information.
- Identify business requirements and solutions that address problems and opportunities.
- Take ownership, coordinate, and facilitate end-to-end requirements gathering.
- Document business, functional, and non-functional requirements, model business processes, and manage the acceptance signoff process.
- Prepare agreed deliverables in line with standards, meeting quality and timeline expectations.
- Rapidly build domain expertise to understand and challenge business and functional requirements.
- Provide functional support to testing, development teams, and business users.
- Review test scenarios and cases and take part in defect analysis.
- Coordinate UAT and Regression testing to ensure timely sign-off.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Wealth Management and Investment Banking domain.
- Excellent ability to take ownership, coordinate, and facilitate end-to-end requirements gathering.
- Excellent ability to document business, functional, and non-functional requirements, model business processes, and manage acceptance signoff.
- Ability to quickly learn Avaloq and related applications.
- Ability to quickly learn the Wealth Management and Investment Banking domain.
- Ability to perform end-to-end business requirement analysis.
Nice to Have
- Working knowledge of any banking products.
- Experience with Avaloq or other core banking solutions such as Finacle, T24, or BaNCS.
- Software development lifecycle knowledge.
- Working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Service Now, and Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of the financial services industry within complex business and architecture environments.
- Excellent overall knowledge of banking applications and in-depth knowledge of several functional modules like security trading, order management, settlement, corporate actions, credit, and payments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
