This internship in 2026 will focus on Recovery Operations and Project Coordination. The intern will assist in loan placement and debt sales efforts by organizing meetings, tracking progress, and enhancing documentation across internal departments and external partners.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and support regular and on-demand meetings with the technical partner, Equabli.
- Facilitate recurring and impromptu meetings with debt buyers and external collection vendors.
- Coordinate meetings with internal teams including Operations, Technology, and Product.
- Manage all aspects of meeting logistics, including scheduling, agenda creation, and follow-up tasks.
- Produce clear and actionable meeting notes and distribute structured minutes.
- Monitor action items, risks, and interdependencies across multiple recovery and placement initiatives.
- Follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely completion of commitments.
- Deliver regular progress reports and status summaries to leadership teams.
- Help manage timelines associated with loan placement and recovery projects.
- Support the documentation of operational procedures related to recovery workflows.
- Create process flow diagrams to illustrate current and future operational states.
- Identify coordination gaps, inefficiencies, or process breakdowns and escalate as needed.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in business, finance, operations, or a related field.
- Demonstrates strong organizational abilities and effective time management.
- Capable of handling multiple concurrent workstreams.
- Communicates clearly and concisely in writing and speech.
- Able to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Highly detail-oriented, particularly in documentation and follow-up processes.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with project management tools or methodologies such as Jira or Smartsheet.
- Interest in fintech, collections, or recovery operations.
- Prior experience creating process maps using tools like Visio, Lucidchart, or Miro.
