Responsibilities
- Design full audiovisual systems with signal flow diagrams, rack layouts, equipment specifications, and network configurations.
- Generate precise technical drawings using software such as Visio or D-Tools.
- Establish functional and technical criteria for audio, video, control systems, conferencing, digital signage, and sound reinforcement setups.
- Ensure all designs adhere to recognized industry standards including AVIXA, SMPTE, AES, and IT networking guidelines.
- Investigate new audiovisual technologies and assess their applicability across different project types.
- Suggest hardware and software solutions that enhance usability, dependability, and long-term maintenance.
- Conduct proof-of-concept evaluations for new devices or system designs.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, IT departments, and suppliers to integrate AV systems with overall project objectives.
- Attend client discussions to gather requirements and present design alternatives.
- Offer engineering expertise during construction and system installation phases.
- Prepare complete design documentation including system diagrams, bills of materials, installation instructions, control logic, and acoustic factors.
- Support on-site teams during setup, configuration, and testing processes.
- Assist commissioning personnel with system calibration, issue resolution, and performance optimization.
- Verify that deployed systems fulfill performance, accessibility, and scalability requirements.
